YOM KIPPUR (DAY OF ATONEMENT)

by Min. Donald H. Garrett

Yom Kippur is the most holy and sacred day on the calendar instituted by YaHVaH. It is the day that all of His people are to Atone for their sins throughout the previous year. It is a day of reverence where a person can do nothing but ask for forgiveness and atonement. There is no work and it is also a full day fast.

Some of you may say we don’t need this since we have Yeshua. This is somewhat correct. What I mean by this is that just because Yeshua is our Lord and Savior does not mean we should forget to “atone” by confessing our sins to Him. Undoubtedly, most people go through a year understanding Yeshua is their Savior, but a lot of times they forget to actually confess their sins to Him or more to the point: to YaHVaH. Truthfully, have you taken every single lie, backstabbing comment, malice, anger, etc. to the Father and confessed them. Yes, I mean EVERY ONE of them.
