TORAH: NUMBERS 16:1-18:32 | 1 Samuel 11:14-12:22 | GOSPEL: MATTHEW 26:13-24
THE STORY of Korah’s rebellion can be read as a cautionary tale about Christian replacement theology. Korah was jealous of Aaron, resented Aaron’s priestly role, and defied the authority of Moses. Korah’s attitude corresponds to replacement theology’s attitude toward Israel, the special calling of the Jewish people, and the authority of the Torah.
