In verse 51 These are those counted of the Israelites, 601,730. That is a very large army.

52 YaHVaH spoke to Mosheh, saying: 53 “To these shall the Land be divided as an inheritance: according to the number of names. 54 For numerous one you shall increase its inheritance for the fewer one you shall lessen its inheritance; each one according to its count shall his inheritance be given. 55 Only by lot shall the Land be divided, according to the names of their fathers’ tribes shall they inherit. 56 According to the lot shall one’s inheritance be divided, between the numerous and the few.” Verses 57 to 65 show the count of the Levite males from one month old and older.

The daughters of Zelophehad bring a case to Mosheh about them losing an inheritance due to the death of their sonless father. Mosheh brings their case before YaHVaH in verse 5. 6 And YaHVaH said to Mosheh, saying: 7 “The daughters of Zelophehad speak properly. You shall surely give them a possession of inheritance among the brothers of their father, and you shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass over to them. 8 And to the Children of Yisrael you shall speak, saying: ‘If a man will die and he has no son, you shall cause his inheritance to pass over to his daughter. 9 If he has no daughter, you shall give his inheritance to his brothers, 10 If he has no brothers, you shall give his inheritance to the brothers of his father. 11 If there are no brothers of his father, you shall give his inheritance to his relative who is closest to him of his family, and he shall inherit it. This shall be for the Children of Yisrael as a decree of justice.” as YaHVaH commanded Mosheh.
