VAYERA’ וַיֵּרָ֤א (And He appeared) GENESIS 18:1-22:24

TORAH:

YaHVaH visits Av’raham (Abraham) here to inform him that Sarah would conceive and have a son. It is also here that Av’raham argues/negotiates with YaHVaH not to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if righteous people still remain there. The negotiation begins with 50 people and then reduces to 10, at which point YaHVaH agrees to not destroy them if 10 are located. We all know that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, thus 10 must not have been found. Here, YaHVaH concludes the negotiation and departs.
