The New Year

The New Year

Society celebrates the New Year today on January 1st.

However, the True New Year is on Abib 1st (also known as Nisan) according to the Bible and Torah (see Exodus 12:2 and 13:4 where YaHVaH states Abib will be the beginning of the Year). The current Jewish calendar year date 5785 starts in the 7th Biblical month. Is Abib 1st to be 5785 or 5786? Not sure. What is known is that Abib 1st will fall on the Gregorian date of March 9, 2025.
