Yom Teruah
Yom Teruah, as it’s called in Numbers 29:1, also known as the Feast of Trumpets, is commanded in Leviticus 23:23-25 and Numbers 29:1-6.
The Day of Blowing (Shofar) is the Biblically commanded day of the first of the Seventh month. It is to be celebrated with the blowing of the shofar (or trumpet) all day long with no work being done.
In present day, the Rabbinical Judaism has changed this day to Rosh Hashanah (New Year) and start the calendar here on Tishri. They still blow the shofar all day on this day, but have come to celebrate it as a New Year. However, the Bible says this is not the New Year, but rather Tishri is the 7th month. The Biblical New Year is Abib occurring around March. This name too has been altered to Nisan, which is usable since that name is Biblical for the same month.
