KORACH קֹ֔רַח (Korah) NUMBERS 16:1 – 18:32

PROPHETS : 1 SAMUEL 11:14-12:22| GOSPEL : JOHN 19:1-17

TORAH:

This Torah portion speaks of the punish God (YaHVaH) deals to all who rebel against the rulers and priests He had chosen. The entire congregation witness the immediate destruction of 3 family lines who spoke against Mosheh and Aaron; the earth swolled them up all at once. The Israelites depart in fear during this. 

However, the next day the people return and accuse Mosheh and Aaron of being the ones who killed those people; even though they had witnessed the supernatural power of God (YaHVaH) destroy them. YaHVaH tells Mosheh and Aaron He will wipe them all out for this. Mosheh quickly sends Aaron with incense to help save people by running amongst them. This effort worked and stopped everyone from being killed. However, YaHVaH’s Spirit had consumed (killed) 14,700 people in an instant for their disobedience; WoW!
