Bible Workshop #2

Spreading The Word - Online

Here is the second session in our four-part Daily Bible Reading Workshop. We’ve had hundreds of views for the first session and quite a lot of active feedback – we hope you’ll join us for both as we move forward in our presentation of easy-to-do ways that we can all get more out of our Bible reading every day. While the first session looked at vocabulary – understanding the words in the version of the Bible that we are reading – today’s session addresses using cross-references as a way to enhance our understanding of the Bible and gain an insight into what the biblical author(s) are trying to do.

This is the second of four short video sessions over the course of two weeks, covering just a small range of topics such as vocabulary, references and structure. We hope they will inspire you to read your Bible more often, to engage more with the text and – with only a few moments thought – find ways to gain a better grasp of the way the Divine Author has shaped the text to speak to us today and every day through His written word.

Developing community – one of the things that our short survey about Daily Bible Reading habits showed most people would like to do – takes a little time and trouble, to share your thoughts about a Bible study technique, or the way a text has spoken to you. But we’d love to hear from you and to be able to share this journey with you. So, when you have watched today’s video, won’t you click on the ‘blog’ link below the video to leave a comment on our blog or make a comment on social media.

By now, you know what to do: just click on the link below to go to the second workshop session

 Spreading The Word - Online

We can now invite you to the first session of our new Daily Bible Reading Workshop. There will be four short video sessions over the next couple of weeks, covering topics such as vocabulary, references and structure.

We have had lots of feedback from a short survey we conducted to find out what people might be looking for in a daily Bible reading scheme and address a number of the issues during the workshop. Why not come along and join us and then let us know what you think.

Daily Bible Reading Workshop Session #1

Elohiym is Spirit

Elohiym is Spirit, and those who worship Him, must worship Him with [their created] spirit, and in truth. John 4:24 Elohiym is SPIRIT, and He breathed a created spirit into man, so that He could have intimate communion with His creation. And our created spirit communes with HIS eternal self-existant SPIRIT, as believers pray in the spirit. This is the intimate communion for which we were created, and the enemy wants to steal from us.

Helping Messianic Congregations in Israel

we wanted to present to you seven Tikkun affiliated congregations and ministries and encourage you to send a special gift – to help strengthen these works as they reach out with the good news of Yeshua to Israelis.

Beit Ha Yeshuah

This is a Messianic congregation and rehabilitation center in Jerusalem. It was founded in October 2004, by Tsvi Randleman, who had a vision to to bring the gospel to those suffering from addiction and spiritual oppression. He was joined by Roni Rejwan and Oleg Vilensky in establishing Israel’s second Messianic rehabilitation center. Almost all of Beit Ha Yeshuah’s members have received Yeshua as Lord and Savior, and have been set free from terrible addictions. The congregation always has a warm and encouraging atmosphere, and is constantly growing.

Revive Israel

Birthed by Asher Intrater, it started as a discipleship center for Israelis and has grown into much more. Revive Israel today hosts believers from all over the world every week for worship, prophetic prayer and teaching – in Hebrew with translation. They help Asher to oversee three congregations in the Jerusalem/Tel Aviv corridor. Under the leadership of Youval Yanay, Revive Israel has birthed a powerful media center both in Hebrew and English. Yeshua Chai (Jesus is Alive), their 24-hour internet TV channel, reaches Israelis in their native tongue.

Tiferet Yeshua

Birthed by Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram in 1995, Tiferet Yeshua was the first Spirit-filled, Hebrew-speaking congregation in modern Israel. Now led by Gil Afriat and his team of elders, their passion is to reach Tel Aviv (our New York City) with the good news of Messiah Yeshua. They host monthly coffee house concerts called Yad Ha’oman(the Hand of the Artist) and have regular street outreaches. For the past 18 months, they have reported seeing more and more supernatural healings and young Israelis coming to the Lord as they’ve shared the gospel in Tel Aviv.

Ahavat Yeshua

Asher Intrater and Eddie Santoro birthed Ahavat Yeshua with a desire to see Yeshua return to Jerusalem, where He will reign. This was the passion of the very first congregation of Jewish believers in Yeshua in Jerusalem! It was on Shavuot (Pentecost) more than 2000 years ago that God first poured out His Holy Spirit on the Apostles. Apart from that same powerful presence of God’s Spirit, the Jerusalem-based congregations would never be able to achieve God’s end time purposes for His city. Recently, Jonathan Moore and Ariel Blumenthal were appointed as the new leaders.

Harvest of Asher in Akko, Israel

Harvest of Asher is a Messianic congregation in Akko, Israel. Led by Akko native and former orthodox Jew, Guy Cohen, this congregation is a vibrant picture of Yeshua to the Jewish people. Akko is part of the unclaimed inheritance of the Tribe of Asher (Judges 1:31), strategically located at the northwest gateway into Israel. God has called us to conquer Akko, not with swords and spears but by reaching out with the love of God. We proclaim the blood of Messiah Yeshua over Akko preparing the way for His return.

Tents of Mercy

Founded by one of Tikkun’s fathers, Eitan Shishkoff, Tents of Mercy is one of the larger congregations in the country. It is led by Eitan’s son-in-law Avishalom Teklehaimanot, a Jewish immigrant from Ethiopia. Tents of Mercy has birthed daughter and granddaughter congregations in Haifa and the Galilee. The facility is home to a Messianic congregation, humanitarian aid distribution center, pro-life counseling office and warehouses.

Return to Zion

Return to Zion Congregation was established by Leon Mazin in 2001, with Russian-speaking Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union comprising ninety-nine percent of the congregation. Their vision is to “Restore faith in Yeshua in Israel in our days.” They do this through humanitarian and educational outreaches such as Oasis Media (a Russian language media ministry), Rainbow of Sounds Music School, a food distribution program, Haifa Theological Institute, a ministry to Holocaust survivors, and more recently, Shoresh (Root) a weekly discipleship training course for young adults, co-sponsored by Revive Israel.

Stand with Tikkun Israel

All of these incredible ministries depend on a combination of local and international support. We can’t do it without you! Please consider a special gift of $70, $140, $490 or $777 to help us continue to proclaim Yeshua, raise up leaders, and demonstrate the kingdom of God to the nation of Israel. You are a vital part of all that we do here and we are so grateful to have you standing with us – both in prayer and financial support.
