Tents of Mercy and Others

Discipleship Mentoring Project
Hosted by Tents of Mercy
This initiative is geared especially to serve IDF soldiers who have recently completed their mandatory service. It is a great way for them to “breathe” and heal after their intense years in the army. For two months we teach them to hear from God and study His Word while living and working in a rural communal environment.

Tikkun update

By Asher Intrater
I believe we are crossing into a new period of prophetic fulfillment, whereby Jerusalem becomes both the center of international conflict, and at the same time there is the beginning of a new outpouring of the spirit of grace and supplication. Last month a number of events concerning the city of Jerusalem converged together in an uncanny way…

My experience lines up with the Word. Experiences mean something, particularly when they confirm the word of God. (I often remind people who don’t believe in the restoration of Israel, that Israel is indeed being restored.) I have seen blind eyes opened and the lame walk. I have seen people full of demons find freedom in Jesus and I have seen these demons flee when confronted in the name of Yeshua.

This country is a MIRACLE. And it has happened, IS happening during our lifetime. What’s more, He brought my family and millions more back to this sacred land. What next? We know that Israel’s Messiah, our Yeshua, will return in person, to rule and reign over all the earth from Jerusalem. Meanwhile, there’s a lot of struggle.

Update of Tikkun

Shalom,

The week leading up to Shavuot (Pentecost) was unique for our Tikkun family in Israel. Several months ago our leadership team felt the urge to invite apostolic fathers with a heart for Israel from around the world to come spend three days with us in prayer and dialogue. We called it the “Alignment Roundtable.” The amazing thing was that we were not even thinking of the 70th anniversary for Israel’s rebirth—or the United States Embassy move—both of which took place the day before our gathering.
We planned for a small gathering. With only a few months notice, most of these very busy people would not be able to make it—or so we thought. To our surprise, 80% came! And the ones who didn’t, said, “Count me in for next year.” Next year? We didn’t even plan a next year!

Dan, Eitan and Asher address some of the delegates at dinner the night before the roundtable began.
THEY CAME FROM MANY NATIONS
We had delegates from China, South Korea, Japan, the US, South America, Poland, South Africa and other nations. Some of them, you would likely know their names; others, no less significant, oversee large networks without much fanfare.
We had a loose agenda that gave much time to prayer. Some of the themes that came forth were:
  • Deeper Arab Christian/Messianic Jewish love.
  • Contending for Unity in the Body of Messiah in Israel and around the world.
  • The reality of end time prophecy—as we literally looked at the Mount of Olives and the Temple Mount where Yeshua will return and take up His throne…
  • A deep desire from these leaders to be connected to brothers in Israel (more on that later).
Several Tikkun leaders gave short messages that led to powerful discussion. The goal was to keep the teaching to a minimum, and use it only to set the tone. We gave lots of space for the prophetic so the Lord could speak. God spoke prophetically through key leaders about the harvest in the coming years.
CONTINUED CONNECTION
What was clear, is that there is a real hunger amongst leaders around the world to connect (or align) with similar like-minded movements in Israel. There is a synergy (the power released when apostolic teams work together is greater than what we can do alone) that is taking place. These fathers (and mothers!) want to align themselves with apostolic and prophetic ministries in Israel. This is not about “submission”, but rather a sense of embracing God’s order of Israel as the elder brother among the families of the nations.
And for those of us in Israel, we see our role, not to govern, but to serve, support and strengthen our brothers and sisters from around the world—to release blessing from Israel. And to learn from them—as many of them have so much to impart to us. It is about mutual love, support, respect and inter-dependence.
We have not scheduled the next Alignment Roundtable, but there does seem to be a deep hunger for long term alignment.

One of many powerful prayer times.
THANK YOU!
Beloved, we reached out to you to pray for this gathering and we received so many responses that you did. Our leadership team cannot thank you enough. You are a part of this end-time alignment between the worldwide Ecclesia and the Messianic Body in Israel. We love you and so greatly appreciate you.
In Yeshua,
Asher Intrater and the Tikkun Global leadership team

Bible Workshop #4

Spreading The Word - Online

Almost at the end of the Daily Bible Reading workshop, this is the fourth session in the four-part series. The first three sessions have been very popular, with some people watching them several times – or passing them on to friends who have been watching them as well. It has been so encouraging to see how the material has been received and has been a blessing for people. We’ve had a lot of comments and questions via the blog – this is obviously meeting a need. In the the first session, I covered vocabulary and in the second move on to cross-references. The third session looked at structure, using both the Psalms and one of the gospels to illustrate how the biblical authors used structure to emphasise and underline their message, and today’s session describes one of the ways that Spreading the Word Online is reaching out to encourage people in reading and understanding their Bibles.

We pray that your Bible reading is already a little more informed and that you’re able to see new things in the text each day. They were there all the time, of course, but now you have some tools and tips to pick out those features – do let us know how you are getting on as the days go by.

By now, you know what to do: just click on the link below to go to the fourth workshop session

Bible Workshop #3

Spreading The Word - Online

We’re just over the half-way mark now: two done and two to go. Here is the third session in our four-part Daily Bible Reading Workshop. We’ve had hundreds of views for the both the first and sessions and quite a lot of active feedback – we hope you’ll join us again as we move forward in our presentation of easy-to-do ways that we can all get more out of our Bible reading every day. While the first session covered vocabulary and the second looked at cross-references, today’s session takes us on a tour of structure, using both the Psalms and one of the gospels to illustrate how the biblical authors used structure to emphasise and underline their message.

This is the third of four short video sessions over the course of two weeks, covering just a small range of topics to do with reading the Bible each day. Hopefully, you’re already looking at your daily reading with more enthusiasm and finding the word speaking to you more clearly. As we gain experience in reading the text, so the Spirit can get our attention and explain more of His wonders to us.

We’re so impressed and excited by the way that the community is already starting to develop around the blog postings for each video. Most people really want to feel that they are part of something larger than themselves and being able to read and be encouraged by what others have already written, as well as making their own voice heard, is a part of who we are and were created to be by our Heavenly Father. As before, let me encourage you to share your thoughts about this third session – or any of the others – on the blog beloew the video once you have watched it.
